A deputation from the BJP to the local CESC office in connection with the death of two teenagers due to electrocution in Dumdum on 24th September 2021. Our demand is to cover all open wires so that no more accidents happen in the rainy season. I demand immediate punishment of the culprits.
Two teenagers died due to electrocution in Motijheel area of South Dumdum Municipality, North 24 Parganas on Wednesday night. The entire road was submerged due to heavy rain. A girl passing by touched the lamppost and she got electrocuted. In an attempt to save her, another girl also got electrocuted. The deceased have been identified as Shreya Banik (12) and Anoushka Nandy (13).
