A conference was held today at the Salt Lake EZCC Hall with BJP workers from the Bidhannagar Corporation area. This activity started with the upcoming municipal elections in mind. There are 41 wards in Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation area where last election was held in 2015. The present Trinamool government has been controlling the Municipal Board through the back door by undemocratically appointing party leaders to various administrative posts without holding a municipal vote. Trinamool-led boards are involved in various forms of corruption in the BMC.
Especially in different wards of Rajarhat Gopalpur and Rajarhat New Town, crores of rupees have been transacted with the help of illegal constructions. In the coming days, the BJP will draw the public’s attention to the issue and investigate the corruption and take action against the culprits.
